Based out of Secunderabad, Mitha Vinay is a Kathak dancer, choreographer and a teacher. She hails from a family of musicians and is into music and dance since her childhood. She has been trained in Kathak for more than 15 Years, under the able tutelage of renowned Kathak exponents Guru Nandini K Mehta and Guru K Murali Mohan from Narthan Academy for Dance and Music- Well known as NADAM, in Bangalore.

             To her credit she has attended many workshops of other eminent dance Gurus Like Smt. Shama Bhate, Sri. Maulik Shah and Smt. Ishira Parikh, Smt Rani Khanam, Smt. Bragha Bessell, and Sri. Harish Gangani.

            Trained as a solo dancer Mitha has given

innumerable performances across India and abroad as a soloist and as a part of NADAM ensemble. She holds a “Vidhwath” degree in Kathak, from Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, she is an empaneled

group artist of ICCR through NADAM and is a graded solo artist for National Television (Doordarshan).

           She is also trained in the folk dance forms of India 

and her passion for dance has encouraged her to explore other genres like Odissi and couple of Latin American dance styles-Salsa and Merengue. She has given many performances in these styles and has done many Indian Contemporary productions too. 

           

Apart from being a performer, Mitha has been running her dance academy “Tatvamasi- Centre for Performing Arts” in Secunderabad since 2011 and training the aspiring students.She has done many corporate shows and has conducted many workshops and lecture demonstrations in Kathak.
